Let's talk Manners

I was at a family gathering yesterday with my husband's side of the family. It was a baby shower and his family always has men, women and children there so there were a lot of people. Most of the people there know I am a very aware of the food that my family and I consume - especially my son. The reason I am writing this post is because something happened that really got under my skin. There were these fruit cups and they put this chili candy powder crap in the fruit cups for a snack. (Basically ruining the fruit in my opinion.) Well, one the cousins was about to feed a piece of this fruit covered in chili candy crap to my son. They didn't even think to ask my husband or I if he could have it. Luckily, I keep a VERY close eye on him at family gatherings so I quickly jumped up and said, "do not give the to my son." Childrens/Infant Tylenol

I discovered something the other day. I was stunned and frankly a little angry.....Tylenol (children's/infant) has high fructose corn syrup. I mean I expect this to be in most foods these days but in my child's medicine?! Are you kidding me?! I am not the kind of person to give my child medicine (over the counter or prescribed) every time he gets a cough or slight fever. But my son has been miserably teething for the past week and a half, so I went to purchase some Tylenol. He eats so healthy and a little bit every now and again when needed isn't going to hurt him but it is the principle of it. This whole situation just makes me furious! I just needed to vent and warn y'all God Bless💕

Cabbage and Spinach!

I know I use a lot of cabbage, but it is just SO good for you! And I really didn't do a whole lot with the cabbage and spinach. I put them in a pan on the stove with some olive oil, garlic powder and a hint of rosemary. Don't cook it for too long because the veggies will loose their nutrients. Just enough so it is soft enough to blend. It'll help if you cut the cabbage in small pieces. Once it has been cooked. Toss it in your blender and then distribute it into your containers! Just make sure they are cooled before you close the lids because that can cause bacteria to form😷 I hope your little one enjoys this!! God Bless Y'all!💓
